After a lot of hard work by LNWR Heritage, with a little help from some of us, Clan Line's latest overhaul is reaching its conclusion.

The locomotive looks almost complete. The main obvious things that are missing are the smoke deflectors.

In the smokebox, work continues on fitting the steam pipe glands and spark arrestors.

The fittings in the cab are almost complete.

The next big job is weighing the locomotive and tender. This involves measuring the weight on each wheel, and adjusting the springing accordingly, to bring it to the designed specification. To accomplish this, the engine was taken outside, and moved to a level piece of track.
