LNWR Heritage at Crewe have been putting a lot of effort into completing the work on Clan Line, and the results are showing.

Since the boiler was re-united with the frames, almost all of the lagging and cladding have been fitted. A lot of the cab fittings were attached, and the cab itself is now back in place. Clan Line is looking more and more like a complete engine!

The engine is looking almost complete

The cab has been fitted

Work is also progressing in other areas of the loco. For example, the re-building of the floor of the repaired smokebox is almost complete, the grate is being re-installed, and the damper control linkages are being re-fitted.
