The boiler shop at LNWR Heritage, Crewe, has been a hive of activity recently. The superheater header has been fitted to the main steam pipe in the smokebox. The lagging and cladding of the boiler has progressed apace, as has some of the rubbing down and painting.

But the main visible progress has been the lifting of the boiler, and the fitting to the frames.
